On a happier note..

Brianna and I had a fun night tonight πŸ™‚ We had a date πŸ™‚ We went to the dollar movie theater and saw Cheaper by the Dozen 2! It was really nice getting out, especially feeling the way I have tonight. She is just growing up so fast. She asked me what was bothering me tonight, as I wasn’t my normal chipper mood and I didn’t quite know what to tell her. So I just said that someone had hurt mommy’s feelings and she said she was sorry and asked if I wanted to hold her hand. That completely melted my heart.. It was just what I needed, because I was pretty uptight.. As you can imagine.. It’s amazing to me that this year Brianna will be the big 5!!!!! She got a kid’s pack: popcorn, drink and m&m’s.. The movie was cute, we both liked the first one as well.. She promptly fell asleep on the way home too.. We still did prayers when I tucked her in and then of course had to sing “the white horses” her fave Christian song, as she fell back to sleep πŸ™‚

  1. I am so jealous, we DO NOT have a “dollar movie theater” here. I heard other people mention them…strange!

    Mommy & Daughter day out sounds like it went well. πŸ™‚ Too cute. It’s nice to suck up that one-on-one time, huh? What a precious little girl. ♥

  2. I’m glad you had a nice night with Brianna, hon. I haven’t seen Cheaper By the Dozen 2″ yet, but I loved the first one.
    Chin up Sweets, k? {{{HUGS}}}

  3. What a great time out!

    all I kept thinking about when I read what you posted in both entries, the one before this and this one was “And a Little child shall lead them”. there are so many references in the Bible to being “childlike” in our faith and truth be told, we should be childlike in all our dealings on this planet. have you ever seen a child at play? Unless they have had all the innocence removed from them, they don’t care at all who joins them on the monkey bars or in the sand box. The more the merrier, and they don’t see any sense in putting out people because of who they are. They love unconditionally, a friend is a friend and they don’t see it any other way. They don’t question, things just are.

    My sons have friends who happen to be bi-racial. Last Saturday we were sitting at the basketball game and their mother (there are 3 little boys- Gage is in class with my 6th graders, Cole is in Aaron’s class and little Kaiden is almost 2) Lisa turned to me cracking up and said “Did you hear what they just said?” I hadn’t so I told her so. Well Cole was eating a tootsie roll sucker- chocolate and Aaron leaned over and said “WOW Cole you smell like a brownie!” Over the game, Cole did not hear everything Aaron said and turned to him and said “That’s cause I am brown”. I laughed so hard- it was the truth and Cole just stated it whole heartedly- though I am not quite sure what brown smells like! LOL!

    But children are like that. If we would just follow their lead and be more like them, think of how wonderful the world would/could be.

  4. awwww bless her lil heart! That goes to prove what an EXCELLENT mama you are!! πŸ™‚ So the movie was good? I can’t WAIT for it to come out! I loved the 1st one too πŸ™‚ we opted to see Yours, Mine & Ours instead and it wasn’t that good…. :-/
